I put off updating my journal because I wanted to keep this wonderful journal skin! Well, I´ll see in a minute if it still works (probably not)...

Here goes my ramble:

First off: I love my obsessions! Did I ever mention that? Whenever I think there can never be another obsession as big and passionate as the one I´m having right now I get stricken by lightning and find another fandom. This time it´s Norse Mythology and Loki especially. Yeah, I confess I finally watched "Thor"! Honestly, I never expected this film to have any particular depth, that´s why I didn´t watch it before. Well, my sister happens to own the DVD, so I thought "Why not, it´ll be fun to find all the mythological mistakes."

ALAS! Pride comes before the fall!

Well, you can imagine me sitting there like a deer in headlights. Loki has always been my favourite god in Norse mythology, but Tom Hiddleston brought a whole different level to his character. My single thought during the film was:

Hmm, let´s think, is there anything else in my life? Oh yeah, I´m supposed to write my MA paper. Well, after I had one of those nice attacks of "I´ll never finish this!", I had a talk with my professor and I now I basically know how to fill the next 50 pages. I just have to write them. And since I was as lazy over Christmas as I expected myself to be, I really need to get cracking now. Which tears me apart because all I want to do right now is draw, goddammnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On top of that the last two weeks  I worked on my Artemis costume I´ll wear this Saturday for a party with the theme "Olympos". I know I won´t stay long there because I hate parties (couldn´t resist the theme though, and my firend knew that...I wanted to dress up as Artemis ever since I was 6!), but me being me, I spent nights stitching and cutting and minting metall foil. Photos of the results will follow.

So I can´t complain of boredom here! I´m looking forward to March when my paper will be (hopefully) done!!!!
